FAQs
What are your areas of expertise?
Our areas of expertise include nonprofit, agriculture, education, economic development, business development, co-operative, government relations and governance.
What you can help us accomplish?
- We provide you breathing room to assess your organization’s needs and skill requirements;
- As an interim leader, we can provide you with stable leadership and unbiased observations on how to make improvements;
- We can also help maintain operational stability and ensure delivery of key functions;
- Finally, by engaging us, you allow your current leadership and board to retain their focus on their portfolios.
Why would we hire an interim executive?
The most obvious answer is when a leader departs suddenly. Someone needs to fill that role, and asking other executives in the organization to pick up the slack is asking a lot. An interim keeps things moving forward and keeps momentum going while the organization catches its breath and takes some time to assess the organization’s needs going forward without feeling rushed.
There are also times when a leader has a planned leave of absence. Again, it may be beneficial to bring in an interim replacement with an unbiased perspective to maintain the momentum and stability, and to provide the board observations on organizational success and improvements.
When are you available? Is short term support available?
Yes. There are many times when an existing executive is planning to take a short term leave.
We are happy to have a conversation about how we can provide interim support during these occasions. Our focus is on providing stability and success for your organization.
Where are you available?
Dion is located in western Canada and available for engagements throughout Canada or the US.
How are rates calculated?
Rates are dependent on a number of factors including:
- remote or on-site,
- part-time or full-time engagements.
Each organization is unique; we strive to ensure a complete understanding of your needs and expectations. Rates typically align with an organization’s existing budget whether non-profit, private business, co-operative or start up organization.
